Whoever invented stipple ceilings is not my friend

Wanted to post a couple of progress pictures for everyone to see as we finally get to start working on the inside of our house! Matt and I have some new best friends: Hector, Jesus, Paco, another Jesus, Cesar, Santos, 

Stipple has been removed from the ceilings - literally every single part of that house was covered in stipple - and it is already starting to open things up and look so much better.

 We have had primer put on every wall, every cabinet, every chair rail, and it is looking so much better. I'll take a house with just primer on the wall over what it was before.Canned lights have been added in to the family room as well!

Trees have been cut back and house has been given a face lift. Next up, front porch!

New Roof Week!

We had a very busy weekend at the house! Don't worry...I took all of the before pics before anything happened. The carpets are ripped up downstairs and we are ready to start painting inside and hardwood. Today, the roof gets started and the front porch and side stairs outside. Hey...at least it will be presentable from the outside!

Now I'm just annoying Matt with more costly ideas for the kitchen and family room...

Can I cram anything else in to that heading? It was a crazy, fun day filled with Halloween festivities, birthday celebrating, and...house closing! So...it is official - we are homeowners. We have LOTS to work on, so stay tuned for our transformation. I will be posting lots of before and after pictures as we start this journey of creating our dream home. We are now the "Walters on Withmere Way"
